Councillor Maurice St. Denis is honoured to be serving his second term on Morinville Council. A resident of Morinville for over four decades, Maurice and his wife Melissa have proudly raised their two sons, Everett and Emerson, in the community they are proud to call home. Maurice first worked for the Town of Morinville while pursuing his post-secondary education and has remained deeply committed to serving the community ever since. He holds a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta and is a partner and lead clinician at a local mental health practice, where he provides counselling and mental health services to children, youth, and families throughout the region while also supporting several First Nations communities across Treaty 8.
Before entering private practice, Maurice spent more than two decades working in education as a classroom instructor, behaviour specialist, and school counsellor. Those experiences shaped his belief that the strongest communities are built through empathy, collaboration, and meaningful relationships.
