Improve your volunteer recruitment and retention process.
Facilitator: Marie Gervais, PhD., CEO Shift Management Inc.
FREE to attend, regsitration is required.

This workshop will help participants create a volunteer recruitment and retention process from the perspective of what makes a great volunteer experience from start to finish. Using discussion questions and checklists, you will clarify the why, what, and how questions volunteers need answered, and put those answers to work recruiting the right volunteer for the right position. Participants will learn how to create a volunteer position role that is compelling and inviting, with accompanying processes to ensure success for both the volunteer and the organization. Following the workshop, a networking activity offers participants a forum to practice workshop tools and get to know each other and their organizations.

Marie Gervais, PhD., CEO Shift Management Inc Bio:
Marie Gervais, PhD., provides managerial training, team coaching and organizational capacity development to businesses and organizations with online courses, team building and coaching. An avid volunteer herself, she has served with community organizations, been engaged with building vibrant neighbourhoods in Edmonton and mentors volunteer boards for role development and effective meetings. Her experience working with diverse populations and varying English proficiency skill levels have provided her with insights into how people feel welcome in communities, and what they need to be productive in their roles.

Dr. Gervais is a Certified Conscious Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner and a Certified Emotional Success Coach using modalities that help clients with workplace distress, career mapping and removing emotional blocks to work. She has a podcast, Culture and Leadership Connections, and is the author of the book The Spirit of Work: Timeless Wisdom, Current Realities
